About JoAnn Letten

 
 

JoAnn began her journey with wellness after having several physical health issues.  The guidance of caring, knowledgeable Pilates and Yoga instructors helped her strengthen her body effectively and functionally.  MOVEMENT HEALS! JoAnn understands firsthand how challenging and painful it is to get yourself physically moving.  Pure relief through movement is crucial to wellness. Sharing the healing benefits of yoga for physical health connecting mind and body with breath is truly a passion for JoAnn.

In October of 2017, JoAnn became a Yoga Alliance 200-hour Registered Yoga Instructor. Continuing her education, wanting to deepen her knowledge of yoga for health,  JoAnn completed a 300 hour Therapeutically oriented training at the Asheville Yoga Center in December 2019.  She is a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT 500-hour Instructor. JoAnn has certifications in numerous additional areas of Yoga, including Therapeutic Wisdom, Yoga for Seniors, Pre and Post natal Yoga, Yoga for Cancer, Yin Yoga, Ehlers Danlos Hypermobility, Yoga for Autoimmune Health,  Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and Restorative Yoga. JoAnn teaches with a holistic caring base adapting yoga to each individual’s personal needs.

Additionally, she became Power Pilates Core Mat I Beginner and Core Mat II Intermediate level certified instructor in 2018. Currently JoAnn is a Power Pilates Comprehensive Apprentice. 

JoAnn is a lifelong New Orleanian, who is a graduate of the University of New Orleans.  She resides in Metairie with her husband, her dog and cat. Together they love to travel and spend time with their adult children and 2 grandchildren.
